Located in Gorton, Manchester, HideOut Youth Zone is a charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 8-19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs) by providing the three things which all young people need and deserve: somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to. Every donation to the Youth Zone goes directly towards supporting Manchester’s young people to lead healthier, happier, more aspirational lives. The Youth Zone engages with over 1000 young people a week, on average 150 people every night, 7 days a week.

The Youth Zone originally planned to open its doors in March 2020, but the increasing threat of Covid-19 meant the charity needed to approach the task ahead differently in order to be able to continue providing support to young people. Considering the challenging times, the charity successfully established itself in such a short space of time and was able to officially open to the public in September 2020, successfully securing 4,500 members in the first two years.

HideOut Youth Zone aims to become the number one youth charity in Manchester, something that the charity hopes to be made possible thanks to their Founder Patron campaign.

Being a patron gives critical financial support to allow the charity to continue the amazing work they do each day. Getting continued support from Founder Patrons is essential; around 60% of funding comes from the Founder Patron campaign. What is also important is the pathways and opportunities it creates for young people, meaning the support and benefits go far beyond just funding.

Godel has proudly been part of the Founder Patron campaign since 2019. Founder Patrons pledge to provide support to the Youth Zone which enables it to continue to support thousands of young Mancunians to grow the skills they need to overcome life’s challenges and develop the confidence and resilience they need to succeed.

Godel recently sat down with Adam Farricker, CEO of HideOut Youth Zone in the latest episode of The Godel POD: Charity Runs and Being Manc to get an inside scoop from the Youth Zone and what this amazing Charity has planned for growth in 2022.

This year, the Youth Zone will be taking part in the iconic Great Manchester Run, with multiple patrons, including Godel, also participating. The money raised will allow the Youth Zone to deliver more extracurricular activities.

Our patrons are invaluable to the success of HideOut Youth Zone, without them we simply couldn’t offer the vast array of activities and support we do for young people, 7 days a week. We want to thank Godel Technologies for their continued support as a Founder Patron, and we wish all those fundraising on behalf of HideOut – running the Great Manchester Run this weekend – the best of luck. All fundraising donations are an investment into young people across Manchester that attend HideOut, and will go directly towards supporting the work we do to ensure young people have the opportunity to discover their passion and purpose.
