From an idea that originated from the Research and Development function, the AI community is a growing concept essential for harnessing AI technologies’ rapid growth and meeting increasing customer interest. It fosters knowledge sharing, enhances development productivity, and coordinates AI efforts within Godel. Establishing an AI expertise centre and building an expert pool is key to staying technologically advanced and competitive.

 

The growing initiative serves multiple purposes, from harnessing the rapid growth of AI technologies to supporting clients with the most up-to-date solutions and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous learning, ensuring Godel’s competitive edge in the tech industry.

 

The AI community, which now has over 90 Godel employees encompasses individuals with varying degrees of interest and expertise in AI tools and technologies and aims to highlight the power of AI to improve our work and personal development. This community is a melting pot for people of different seniority levels, from novices to experts, allowing for a rich exchange of knowledge and ideas. The community is constantly demonstrating the benefits of active participation in the community and the impact it can have on Godel present and future AI projects and processes.

Godel has a knowledge base with hundreds of documents dating back almost 10 years. These documents are in formats like PowerPoint, Word, PDF and are typically written by members of delivery teams, using technical language.

 

What began with a natural interest in the topic and keen to widen his knowledge, Jorge Garcia de Bustos, Technical Presales at Godel researched applications for generative AI within the business which resulted in the development of an aptly named tool called ‘JorgeGPT’.

 

The goal was to build an AI-powered MS Teams chatbot. A proof of concept was built, showing the potential of Large Language Models to help answer queries written in natural language about any document collection. The tool is capable of answering a series of questions about the contents of a document corpus, a collection of proprietary documents that our company has by harnessing the GPT model from open AI, which is the chat engine that lies underneath ChatGPT.
