More than 400 people celebrated Manchester’s finest young talent in the financial and professional sectors, rewarding excellence in innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, training, development and leadership.

BBC Manchester presenter Andy Crane hosted the event which was run by Future pro-manchester. Chairman Paul McGlone said “ It’s fantastic to recognise the successes of Manchester’s young talent this evening, The Made in Manchester awards is a wonderful showcase of our city’s rising stars and we are extremely proud to recognise and celebrate them this evening.”

Award winning Rob Nugent speaks of his delight of Thursday’s awards, “I was privileged enough in my early career with the help and guidance that I received, and for me to be fortunate enough to be a position to have the chance to give back to Michael and the other guys in the team is a real privilege. To be shortlisted and come away with two acknowledgements is overwhelming and I really appreciate all the support which I have been given.

“Awards are sometimes won by individuals, however it is the team behind that individual who deserve the recognition for their hard work and for that I cannot thank my team enough.” Rob continued.

Other winners on the evening included young talent from firms including KPMG, BDO, WTB Solicitors, Sheppard Robson, SJC Partners and Barclays Bank plus digital agencies TheEword and FireCask. With guests raising over £3900 for Macmillan Cancer Support in Greater Manchester.
