Spotify’s Vice President of Engineering, Kevin Goldsmith, appointed as Strategic Advisor to Godel
Godel is delighted to announce the appointment of Kevin Goldsmith, VP of Engineering at Spotify, as a Strategic Advisor to the Godel board.
Goldsmith, formerly of Adobe and Microsoft, has been a prominent figure in the scaling of high quality agile development teams for the music and video streaming firm and is set to work alongside the Godel board to support plans for further expansion and growth of its unique extended agile teams service.
Having gained a vast amount of experience in scaling talent and building agile delivery teams, Goldsmith’s experience during his time at Spotify was a competitive advantage that Neil Turvin, CEO at Godel, was to keen to tap into in order continue Godel’s own progression –
“We are looking to double the number of staff at Godel within the next three years, however, being able to scale the company whilst maintaining our “quality comes first” culture is our number one priority.
Having worked alongside Kevin on a series of events in Europe and having spent time with him and his team in Spotify in Stockholm, I wanted Kevin to become involved with Godel in order to help us to achieve our objectives. His experience of scaling talent at Spotify will be a major asset for Godel as we continue our progression to become Europe’s most respected nearshore development company.”
Goldsmith, who begins his new role in February 2016 commented,
“I am really looking forward to working with Neil and the Godel board to help advise and steer them in the scale and growth of Godel. Neil’s and Godel’s purpose and motivation with its focus on quality mirror my own personal motivations. I am very excited to see where I can help the Godel board and looking forward to seeing what the future brings.”
