Software glitch causes chaos – why QA?
Headlines have been made as hundreds of thousands of customers of RBS group haven’t had money transferred in or out of their bank accounts due to a software issue. At Godel we are firm believers that software testing and QA should always be an integral part of any development project.
Although the details are sketchy around the fault, Stephen Hester, chief executive of Royal Bank of Scotland explains “In simple terms there was a software change that didn’t go right.”
Neil Turvin, Sales Director at Godel says “Software that is not rigorously tested can lead to so many problems as we are seeing here. The impact on customers and revenue can result in loss of money and time, creating a domino effect on business reputation. A single error can have catastrophic consequences and stresses the need for vigorous testing. At Godel we have Quality Assurance teams working tirelessly to ensure that our software works.”
Godel have created a whitepaper stressing the importance of Quality Assurance, you can read it here.
