Godel opens new office in Grodno, Belarus and celebrates five years in Brest, Belarus.
Godel has opened a new office in Grodno – its third nearshore software development centre of excellence in Belarus. Grodno is 280km (175 miles) west of Minsk where its primary centre of over 400 software developers is located.
The city of Grodno has been chosen as the third Godel location in Belarus due to the number of universities and its Hi-Tech Park, which provide the city with a pool of software development skills that will ultimately deliver the experienced workforce that Godel requires to grow. Godel’s second centre in Brest has been operating for five years this month.
“Belarus provides Godel with the ability to tap into a rich supply of development talent and allow us to expand our offering to clients,” explains Neil Turvin, CEO, Godel.
“It’s well documented that the UK has a skills shortage when it comes to coders, and providing large UK based brands like Experian and Virgin Holidays with access to such nearshore talent is what Godel does best. Grodno is yet another location that will be a rich source of skills for us as we move our clients operations to the cloud and deliver industry leading software projects.”
The new office based at Grodno, Lenina, 5, and will open for business on October 2, 2017.
Andrey Afanasenko, Chief Operations Officer, Godel said: “We have big plans for a new office in Grodno and are confident that we will be able to provide local IT professionals with the opportunity to develop their skills and gain invaluable experience with leading British brands.”
