Godel opens new office in Belarusian second city, Gomel
Godel has opened a new office in Gomel – its fifth nearshore software development centre of excellence in Belarus, and its fourth location. Gomel is 200 miles south east of Minsk where its primary centre of over 500 software developers is located.
The city of Gomel is widely accepted as the second largest conurbation in Belarus after Minsk and has been chosen as the fourth Godel location due to the number of universities that provide the city with a pool of development skills, which will ultimately deliver the experienced workforce that Godel requires to grow. Other centres are in Brest and Grodno.
The new office is based at Gomel, Sovetskaya Street, 144.
“Belarussian software engineering talent continues to deliver what large UK brands need in terms of the skills to digitise and rapidly scale their businesses to meet customer demands,” explains Neil Turvin, CEO, Godel.
“Gomel is the next location for tapping into that rich resource, and we continue to invest in our centres of excellence across Belarus.”
