Godel Celebrates One Year at Lodz

One year ago, Godel announced Poland as its newest location in Europe.

In April 2021, Godel’s first Polish development centre opened in the vibrant city of Lodz. During the first year, the team has grown to over 270 developers across multiple engagements. The accelerated growth and reputation in Poland saw Godel recently open its second Polish location in Wroclaw, with further plans to scale further in the future.

Sylwia Skorupka, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager joined Godel at the beginning of 2021 and has been busy ensuring she finds the right talent to fulfil the already successful teams in Lodz and continue to grow the location’s brand and reputation, as Sylwia explains below:

“I can’t believe we are already celebrating 1 year in Lodz, it has been an extremely busy time and I am proud of what we have achieved in 12 months. As we continue to grow our team, having recently reached a milestone of over 270 developers in Lodz, it is important that we continue to ensure we are bringing in the right people to Godel to strengthen the already thriving teams.

The past year has opened the door to many opportunities as we began cementing ourselves as a key player in an already established development community in the city. I was delighted to accept an award on behalf of the business who was recognised for dynamic employment growth in Lodz, which awarded Godel’s increase in employment in Lodz in 2021. With the support of the town hall, we also had the opportunity to hold a press conference in October to reflect on what we had achieved in the year so far and our exciting plans to scale in Poland.

We are excited to recently announce that our Mastery Program has arrived in Poland. It’s a great opportunity for people who would like to put their IT knowledge to the test and learn from the best specialists from Godel. The training is conducted in our Java, .NET, JavaScript, and SDET Divisions and will allow people to work on real projects.

Currently, there is a big demand for recruitment in Poland. The country is one of Europe’s most developed tech hubs, with both global and local companies looking to hire top tech talent and a big increase in start-ups across all major cities including Lodz. This has meant the hiring market is now very competitive.

Poland is not only attractive to UK clients due to the location’s excellent status, but it has also brought substantial benefits for local recruitment in the area. We have already seen the success of our Lodz location and the benefits it has brought, and I look forward to being part of Godel’s success and seeing what the year ahead will bring.”
