GodelTech has embarked on a new scheme to give ambitious students the opportunity to gain experience of the working environment. Young people are facing stiff competition to gain employment in the current economic climate and GodelTech is eager to support work experience placements and help youngsters in the region get a competitive edge.

GodelTech operates globally and uses the very latest technologies for communication between offices and clients. Youngsters are given the chance to communicate with GodelTech’s team members using a live video conference facility.

Kieran Brahney, GodelTech’s first work experience candidate recently worked with a variety of technologies and quickly realised the many potential career paths available to him. During his time here, he was involved in many elements of the office, assisting with marketing campaigns, right through to getting stuck in with the server administration team in GodelTech’s datacentre.

Kieran says

“The aim of the work I undertook was to gain experience in a work place environment, whilst also giving me an insight into the roles that people have in such businesses. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my tasks whilst working at GodelTech but each one for different reasons. The work I have undertaken has been excellent, showing me an insight into every aspect of work that takes place within an office – this is invaluable and has assisted me in trying to choose a university course. I’ve learnt a lot over the two weeks – knowledge I can no doubt make use of in the future.”
