Business utility broker chooses Godel’s nearshore partnership model over ‘code-and-run’
Utilitywise, the business utility broker has chosen Godel as its nearshore software development partner to help deliver the customer digital inbound journey linked directly to its price comparison website. The development work is part of its ongoing work to link the CRM back-end to the comparison engine to increasingly digitally transact with customers.
“Choosing to work with Godel means that we have a development partner to supplement our internal teams, rather than a contractor that would churn out code and then leave us to pick things up from there,” explains Richard Hinchley, head of systems, Utilitywise plc.
“This provides us with the resources we need almost overnight to achieve our development goals and it’s great to work with Godel as the team are invested in the partnership moving forward. Ultimately we’re working to increase the volume of customers that transact with us digitally having compared business utility prices online.”
The Godel team will work on the CRM back-end development work which needs focused development resource to get things underway and for success to be achieved.
Utilitywise has over 40,000 customers across the UK and Europe, from start-ups and local businesses to household names and international companies. Their price comparison website is used by small businesses looking for a better deal on electricity or larger-scale businesses looking for flexible procurement solutions.
“We don’t simply parachute a development team in, do what’s needed and then run,” explains Paul Green, chief commercial officer, Godel.
“We’re invested in the business goals of the client – in what they must do to achieve online success, the ramp up and the need for skills almost immediately to meet the demands of their market place.
“It’s great to be working with Utilitywise and helping the company rapidly scale the volume of its online transactions with customers.”
