At the Manchester Evening News Business Awards, Godel won the Mitchell Henry Prize sponsored by LDC – after Mitchell Henry, the financier and MP who started the Manchester Evening News in the late 1800’s.
The prize celebrates the most ambitious and growing business in Manchester and having grown by over 50% in headcount (it employs over 1000 people in Manchester and Europe) and having consecutive year-on-year revenue growth for the past four years, the judges said: “The growth in this company has been exponential with impressive revenue growth thanks to a demand in tech talent which Godel is helping to rapidly deliver while maintaining growth across all its capabilities.”
Godel also won ‘Leading Technology & Digital Innovator 2019’ at the This Is Manchester Awards. The region’s tech and digital sectors have transformed in the last five years and according to the latest figures has the most digital workers outside of the capital. The award recognises incredible innovation within tech that is ground-breaking or disruptive and has created exceptional results. Judges looked for the organisation that had delivered clear and exceptional results and produced exceptional and quality ROI or improvement in communication, process or been a source of tech for good.
“It’s been quite a week for us in our home city – Manchester. We’ve always been proud to be based here and the city as a whole has really established itself in technology. Long may that continue to be the case, and long may we be at the heart of it,” said Neil McMurdo, CEO, Godel.
