Godel, a leading agile software development expert, today announced a significant investment into the continuing professional development of its staff, who are set to receive cutting edge training from one of the industry’s most celebrated development experts in the area of agile and scrum.
As part of the company’s on-going commitment to facilitating learning and progression, Godel has commissioned a private training event named “GODEL AGILE WEEKEND” for staff members from its office locations in Manchester (UK)and Europe.
The event will include a training program to cover key principles and practical process theories that underpin the mechanics, rules and roles of the Scrum framework, as well as exploring other emerging areas of agile delivery.
Staff will also be tutored on behavioural elements, provided with advanced tools and insights into working with people and teams, coaching and facilitation techniques and the on-going management of business stakeholders or product owners to increase the effectiveness of Scrum teams.
The three-day course will conclude with a formal examination to assess the learning of each team member. Those who are successful will be awarded industry recognition as a Certified Scrum Master. These highly esteemed certifications are also recognised by Microsoft, and will contribute to the validation of team expertise as part of Godel’s Microsoft Gold competencies.
Neil Turvin, CEO at Godel, explained the reasons why this weekend is important to the business beyond the certifications alone; “We are a growing business and have progressed well on the foundations of being able to provide high quality delivery output of agile development solutions for our clients over many years. However, it is crucial that our skilled team stay at the cutting edge of software development expertise in order to maintain our competitive edge in the market, benefitting our clients and, in turn, their clients also.
Neil continued, “Our business is about people; our staff are our most valuable asset, so it is essential that they are empowered, developed and given every opportunity to excel at the forefront of successful delivery. This development programme is a significant investment to underline the commitment to both our clients and our own internal team. Fundamentally, our aim is to provide our staff with fulfilling careers and for them to feel valued and motivated.”
