Trupanion is a leader in medical insurance for cats and dogs throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Puerto Rico and Australia with over 1,000,000 pets enrolled. Trupanion looked for a long-term partner with technical leadership and architectural skills to rebuild their legacy platform in Azure, with improvements in member experience, and cost and operational efficiencies being key indicators of success.

Paving the Way for Innovation and Excellence

The CI/CD milestone release is an enhanced version of an existing service, offering improved performance, a refined UI/UX design and seamless integration for onboarding new customers, sell pet insurance policies, progress claims and much more.

“At Trupanion, we’re always striving for innovation and excellence, and I couldn’t be more proud of our teams and our partners at Godel Technologies,” says Donald Scott, Trupanion’s VP of IT Operations. “Being shortlisted for ‘Best Use of Cloud-Native Technologies’ at the 2025 DevOps Excellence Awards is a testament to the hard work, collaboration, and technical expertise that went into our CI/CD milestone release. This is a huge win for our team and a reflection of our commitment to building scalable, efficient, and resilient systems.”

The partnership has delivered 40% cost optimisation for Trupanion with configurational changes in Azure resources without performance loss. This has resulted in a dramatic reduction in build process time as well as potential human error. Together, the combined teams have delivered an adaptable and compliance-aware solution utilising cloud-native technologies that will support continued success and innovation.

“It is always fantastic to see our partnerships recognised for their hard work and collaboration and this award is no different. Well done to the combined team at Trupanion and Godel for delivering the incredible CI/CD milestone release, which is acknowledgement of the huge achievement in utilising cloud-native technologies, resulting in cost optimisation and a reduction in operational time. It is also a reflection of the collaborative nature and exceptional talent within the partnership.”
