Last month, the West End came to Gorton as Godel attended the annual Patron Dinner at the HideOut Youth Zone.

The HideOut Patron Dinner is an annual event to welcome HideOut’s Patrons for an evening of food, entertainment and inspiring stories, and send thanks to Patrons for their continued support over the past year.

Located in Gorton, Manchester, HideOut Youth Zone is a charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 8-19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs) by providing the three things which all young people need and deserve: somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to.

Every donation to the Youth Zone goes directly towards supporting Manchester’s young people to lead healthier, happier, more aspirational lives. The Youth Zone engages with over 1000 young people a week, on average 150 people every night, 7 days a week.

HideOut’s 2nd annual Patron Dinner was organised and run by the young people where guests enjoyed a three-course meal and were treated to incredible performances from the members of the youth zone. The night was also an opportunity to hear stories from members and their families about the positive impact HideOut has had on their lives.

Adam Farricker, CEO of HideOut Youth Zone kickstarted the evening with an inspiring talk about what the charity has achieved over the past year. The evening’s guests also included The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Donna Ludford and a keynote speech from Anthony Morrow at Open Money who shared his experiences of being a founder patron and why continued support is more important than ever.

Godel has proudly been part of the Founder Patron campaign since 2019. Founder Patrons pledge to provide support to the Youth Zone which enables it to continue to support thousands of young Mancunians to grow the skills they need to overcome life’s challenges and develop the confidence and resilience they need to succeed.

As well as being part of the Founder Patron Scheme, this year Godel have actively taken part in a number of activities to raise over £2500 for HideOut including this year’s Manchester Run, bake sales and Godel’s annual 5 a side football tournament, The Kanban Cup.

This year, Godel was proud to attend this year’s Manchester Ball, an evening dedicated to raising money for HideOut Youth Zone and Manchester Youth Zone. In total, over £40,000 was raised on the night. The money raised will continue to make a huge difference to the young people of Harpurhey, Gorton, and the surrounding areas.
