AccessPay, the FinTech provider of payments and cash management automation software, has chosen Godel to complement its in-house software development team, rapidly scaling capabilities with a nearshored Godel team.
Based in Manchester and growing fast, AccessPay has a strong in-house team of analytical coders who are the heart of software development for the company. However, coping with huge demands for their products means that scaling rapidly causes the company a challenge when looking for increasing amounts of software development professionals with a variety of skills.
“Our needs are two-fold – although we recruit our own in-house team, there are projects that require an injection of skills almost overnight to cope with demands and this is where Godel can help us,” explains James Higgins, product director, AccessPay
“Finding people with the full spectrum of skills across software development is also a challenge for us, so we can tap into the knowledge that Godel’s nearshored team provides.
“Godel allows us to concentrate on our business knowing that we can fulfil the projects that help us meet our customers’ demands – ultimately allowing them to make smarter, more insightful business decisions.”
Godel will work with AccessPay on a combined infrastructure project with an element of software re-architecture of certain applications as microservices. AccessPay works on the Microsoft Azure platform.
“It’s the best of both worlds – we have a skilled Godel development team which is nearshored who we will speak to via videoconference daily, but we can also speak directly with our account team at Godel’s HQ in Manchester if we need to,” explains James Higgins.
Diversity and women in tech talk
Godel sponsored and attended the Blackburn-based Tech Talks hosted by Graham & Brown who is based in the Lancashire town. The panel discussion was based around the perennial issue of diversity in the workplace – specifically women in technology roles.
