After a successful period of growth, fidomoney has chosen Godel Technologies to scale and increase the capacity of their core architecture.
fidomoney lets you take control of your business finances with their multi-currency, bespoke current accounts, offering the latest in security solutions.
To facilitate fidemoney’s growing requirements, the innovative York-based Fintech took the opportunity to look for a long-term partner to grow their resource capability. Mark Taylor, Head of Development explains.
”The challenging period of the last 18 months has shown everyone the importance of securing their finances, and the advantages of remote working. As our innovative financial services become more popular due to increasing demand, we looked at the optimal way to scale up our team and infrastructure to accommodate. We decided to go with an augmented team model mixing in house resource with a nearshore external partner. As I’d worked with Godel before I was already aware of the quality they offer in their developers and working practices.
Godel has a high level of professionalism and has the infrastructure and experience in place to train high quality staff. From my previous experience with Godel, I personally learnt more effective Agile practices, and gained valuable experience communicating effectively with a remote team where English is not the first language. I particularly saw the effectiveness of Godel’s Agile Delivery Coordinators, who are instrumental in keeping the team productive and motivated, along with ensuring everyone in the business is aligned to the product roadmap.”
Mark continues. “fidomoney will be extending their current product with an api-centric event driven architectural model, integrating with multiple core banking providers and payment solutions. Our infrastructure will focus on security and high availability with no single point of failure, and we utilise the AWS cloud provider to achieve this. Working with a nearshore partner will allow us to develop with consistent pace and supplement our resource capacity. We plan to evolve as a company and eventually expand into different countries, and I believe the Godel team will be key to achieving that.”
Paul Green, Chief Commercial Officer at Godel said. “We are delighted to partner with fidomoney. Undoubtedly, the pandemic has heightened the importance of security within finance. Working with fidomoney will allow us to scale their resource capacity to help re-architecture their core systems.”
