In the dynamic landscape of JavaScript technologies, Next.js is gaining prominence as the preferred server-side rendering (SSR) tool for web page optimization. Moreover, the advent of innovative builders like Vite and Parcel is reshaping the development landscape, introducing novel approaches and methodologies. These technological shifts underscore the evolving nature of our industry and signal exciting possibilities for the future.

Another noteworthy trend gaining momentum is the emergence of micro-frontends, as a growing number of software vendors are embracing this progressive approach.

Has anything surprised you in your technology this year? 

Midjorney and other neural networks have demonstrated the potential for automating the work of designers. As of 2023, ChatGPT has sparked numerous discussions and experiments in the realm of creating JavaScript applications utilizing Large Language Models (LLM).

These discussions reveal that even intricate cognitive processes, such as abstract thinking and code development, maybe within the scope of automation. While ChatGPT may not have yet produced substantial applications, the question arises: how much time must elapse before this potential is fully realised?

What are your tech predictions for 2024?
