Peter Marks, Group Chief Executive of The Co-operative and a cast of colleagues from the Co-operative Group took to the stage at Band on the Wall, Manchester to play a gig in aid of Mencap on a sponsored Godel Technologies Europe drum kit!

 

GodelTech, the leading UK based software development nearshorer, is giving back this Christmas by donating 18 vouchers for a day out at the Daytona go-karting race track to the Cash for Kids Christmas Appeal, which makes sure children across the region have something to open on Christmas morning.

The company chose the charity after hearing an appeal on local radio station and charity media partner, Key 103.

 

In September, Simon Bilton, Head of Professional Services at GodelTech attended WS02 Con 2011 to speak on a recent implementation of WSO2 technologies at a major UK client. GodelTech has developed and launched a new software application to hold occupational health records for People Asset Management Occupational Health Solutions (PAM Occupational Health) this month.

PAM Occupational Health provides occupational health services such as sickness absence management and employment health screenings, to a range of multi-national public and private sector clients. The business was formed in 2004 as a result of an opportunity to supply its services to the leading high street retailer ASDA part of the Wal-Mart family.

 

GodelTech has been chosen as a ‘nearshore’ outsourced software development partner by CACI, an independent software vendor (ISV) of marketing solutions and information systems software. The overall development team will comprise of CACI’s inhouse team and GodelTech’s Minsk, Belarus based software development and quality assurance (QA) team.

 

Independent software vendor iMeta has more than doubled its strategic nearshore product development team with Godel Technologies Europe to provide it with a flexible, competitive solution.

“We’ve scaled up the nearshore product development team with GodelTech which allows us to remain competitive in our market place and provides us with a very flexible product development solution,” explains Nick Canfor, Operations Director, iMeta.

 

Manchester-based ‘nearshorer’ Godel Technologies Europe is expanding its Minsk, Belarus base in line with the company’s growth plans and rate of staff retention, and installing a purpose built telepresence (video conferencing) suite.

“We have the lowest staff turnover in the business – a near zero attrition rate in our Minsk software development centre and a recruitment target of 100 engineers by the end of 2011 - we’re constantly recruiting new people,” explains Terry Bland, managing director, GodelTech.

 

The Manchester Duck Race returned to Spinningfields on Good Friday for a second year. The Duck Race was in aid of local children's charity Brainwave. After winning last year’s race the GodelTech team were not able to re-enter last year’s winning duck, however, were excited to enter the next promising duck from the stable, “Darth Duck” into this year’s race.

 

The Co-operative Group has appointed Gödel Technologies Europe (GödelTech)  as the strategic software development partner for its in-store electronic point of sale (EPoS) solution, InControl.

InControl is deployed in over 4,500 retail outlets across the UK on 14,500 point of sale units and is responsible for processing over 1.5 billion transactions per year with a value of over £200 million per week.

 

Manchester entrepreneur and GodelTech MD, Terry Bland, is running the Bupa Great Manchester 10k Run on 15th May in order to raise money for charity ‘Live Life Then Give Life’ and raise awareness of the importance of organ donation, in memory of his nephew, Jack Mclean, who died last week on his 19th birthday from a fatal brain bleed.
