Godel Charity Update

Chernobyl Children Project UK Update.  It’s been a couple of months since the last update about our work with our chosen charity Chernobyl Children Project (UK), a UK based charity that supports children with cancer and diabetes, adults and children with physical and learning disabilities in Belarus.

Each summer Chernobyl Children Project (UK) brings around 300 children who are in remission from leukaemia or cancer to Britain for a recuperative holiday.  It is an important trip to help them in their recovery by boosting their immune systems with fresh air and clean food and offering a welcome distraction from their illnesses.

Whilst in the UK the children stay with families of the projects volunteer groups which are dotted around the country.  This summer families in Glossop welcomed a group of children with their mothers and they celebrated their 20th anniversary of Supporting the children of Belarus. Colleagues from Godel’s Manchester office joined in with the celebrations and games which were held at Glossop Parish Church, Old Glossop.

The money which has been donated by Godel has been put towards computer equipment, but some has been used to fund the children’s fun days during their stay in the UK such as a fun-filled day at Gulliver’s World where everyone had a fabulous time and said that it was one of their best day trips.
