Overview

Knowledge Support Systems (KSS) provide pricing systems which help clients to make effective price & promotion decisions and get more out of their pricing strategies to achieve net profit improvements and increased market share.

Problem

KSS has sold oil-industry specific pricing applications around the SAP® R/3® solution for many years. KSS wanted to achieve Powered by SAP NetWeaver status for its wholesale fuel pricing solution however found engaging SAP consultants in the UK to be both difficult and expensive. KSS therefore turned to GodelTech to assist in the SAP migration of their first product.

Solution

GodelTech has extensive contacts in the Eastern European IT Community and therefore easily selected and engaged seasoned SAP Netweaver consultants to work on this project from the GodelTech development centre in Minsk.

A multifunctional project team re-engineered the KSS product where necessary, created Portal iViews that inherited SAP Enterprise Portal styles, and successfully executed the required test cases, under supervision by SAP testing agencies. The team was delighted when KSS obtained ‘Powered by Netweaver’ certification at the first attempt.

KSS now delivers a pre-tested deployment of RackPrice with a SAP NetWeaver open integration and application platform that ensures clients benefit from pre-defined integration scenarios; thus lowering implementation and ongoing ownership costs.

KSS and GodelTech are now considering SAP certification for the rest of the KSS product suite.
