Overview
Tecsoft B.V. is a leading provider of software for child-care centres in Benelux. Tecsoft delivers complete business automation systems that enable child care centres to leverage the advantage of Information Technology.
Problem
In order to compete in this emerging market, TecSoft had to extend their product’s functionality. In the middle of 2007 TecSoft faced a strategic decision to build a front-end CRM module on top of their core product. Initially they considered hiring permanent development staff, but as additional resources would not be required after the completion of this project, and cost base was fairly high, TecSoft were looking for an alternative solution.
Solution
Gödel Technologies has formed a consistent, long-term relationship with a Dutch company IntoPeople, specializing in off-shore and on-site staffing of projects of various types. Having considered several options, TecSoft have selected IntoPeople and Godeltech to outsource the development of the new CRM module for the TecSoft Nanny system. The decision was based on a solid combination of IntoPeople local project management and Godeltech technical and project management skills.
The Partners initially proposed a medium-term engagement to implement new design and functional features. This offered the client the opportunity to “test drive” the Godeltech/IntoPeople service model without a long-term commitment, yet still complete urgent short and medium term tasks. The client was so impressed with the results that they immediately decided to outsource another long term project.

Defined business/functional requirements for the system
Assisted Godeltech in translating business requirements into technical requirements, when appropriate, participated in technical discussions and design sessions to represent client’s interests and desires
Performed functional/performance reviews of the completed tasks with the development staff. After verifying task accuracy and completeness, they presented them to the TecSoft management team for final approval prior to release on the live website
Monitored and maintained an accurate account of expended effort to assure that the project stays within the proposed budget
Provided local accountability by handling the financial transactions within the Team.
Gödel Technologies Europe Ltd. role:
Decomposed all business requirements that are derived from the business and strategy discussions into implement able technical requirements.
Established and prioritized a reasonable schedule for task completion, monitored progress, and drove issue resolution.
Identified existing tools and components to be leveraged towards this project goals
Created technical design of the system
Performed actual coding of the system
Conducted extended testing by applying different testing strategies and approaches
Finally, brought the business vision into a comprehensive system that works.
