Overview
Euroaddress Publishing House is a leading provider of business information, with offices in major regions across Russia. They maintain a business database with over 500,000 business entities, their directories are delivered on paper, CD-ROMs, and via the Internet.
Euroaddress is a member of the European Association of Directory Publishers and a subdivision of Findexa Group, a multi-billion dollar publishing company with headquarters in Norway.
Problem
Euroaddress was faced with a major decision to replace an out-of-date electronic business directory. After reviewing several leading industry solutions Euroaddress concluded that each package required major customisation to meet their requirements. The fact was that Euroaddress could not find a robust PC-based standalone database engine solution to meet their needs.
Solution
After considering several options, Euroaddress turned to Gödel Technologies Europe to build their bespoke business information catalogue software.
The initial version of the directory software was released in autumn 2003 and was named Business Address 2003/2004. Following this success, Godeltech has been engaged in the development of further versions of the system. So far, over a million copies of the system have been produced.

Benefits
Euroadress has obtained a best in market system with extremely efficient full-text indexing and search facility, multiple levels of data security including customised storage model and data encryption. Integration with city maps and other supplementary information helped deliver additional value to the broad customer base and greatly improved the directory versus competition.
Additionally, Gödel Technologies Europe delivered a set of tools that enabled Euroaddress to manage ongoing data requirements and build similar applications for their subsidiaries in Russia and the Ukraine.
